Build something real

One day. Three tracks. A working demo.

Open to developers, founders, students, designers and business professionals. No coding experience required.

    Project ideas

    • personalization
    • content generation
    • customer intelligence
    • growth optimization
  • Agenticengineering

Bring a real GitHub repository—broken starter, legacy code, or your own project—and use Mel to understand, investigate, plan, debug, modify, test, fix, verify and ship it. We want to see whether Mel can work through a real codebase and solve problems, not simply generate code.

    Project ideas

    • debug real code
    • fix failing tests
    • investigate bugs
    • refactor legacy code
    • verify solutions
    • ship working fixes

Your final demo must clearly show the original problem, how Mel investigated it, what was changed, how it was tested, and evidence that the final solution works.
